The Gurmani Centre for Languages and Literature is delighted to invite you to the “International Mother Language Day” on Monday, February 21, 2022, 6:00-10 pm at the Central Courtyard, Academic Block. The Centre has worked closely with the Co-Curricular Activities Office to highlight the linguistic diversity of the LUMS community and is grateful for their support at every stage of the event’s planning and execution.
The students are the focus of this event and the different languages they speak. The program will start with an open mic hour where they will have the opportunity to share prose or poetry of their choice in their mother-tongue. This will be followed by songs and regional dance performances in traditional costumes for which several societies have collaborated to ensure the performances are unforgettable. The last act of the language festival will be “Dulla” (Dulla Bhatti), an exciting play by the Dramaline Society!
We are hoping you will not miss any of these and will join us with your families and friends. There will be art activities and food to keep your energies and spirits high.
